The True Story of the Three Little Pigs, written by Jon Scieszka, is the story of The Three Little Pigs but is the story told in the wolf's point of view. It shows an entirely new perspective to the story of The Three Little Pigs by having the wolf tell how he believes the story actually happened. It has the wolf tell his side of the story and explain how he believes things went down. I believe that this would be a great book to use in a comparing and contrasting lesson by having them also know the original story of The Three Little Pigs and then giving them an anchor chart to help fill out for comparing and contrasting between the two. You could also have different comparing and contrasting activities that you could do with this book, and by using this book it helps keep them engaged. I would use this book for grades First through Third.
